- Having enjoyed fifteen months in Nova Scotia, I returned to the midwest in 2008 to helm a listing ship, plug its leaks, and set a new course. So far, I've reduced the leaks by about 2/3, the rats have mostly abandoned ship, and I'm turning the rudder slowly. A lot of the crew has changed, but there's no immediate threat of mutiny.

Interestingly, cat food makes the list, but not cat litter. I'm far more resentful when having to pay for the latter.
Also, you say "lifetime supply" and all I can think is Rice-a-Roni - the classic of lifetime supplies.

Though I am the Empress of Lists it has never occured to me to list favorite drinks or guaranteed life time supplies of anything. I'll have to give that much more thought.
Aside from my daily "to do" list and the usual grocery list I find the most interesting lists are my itinerary for the day so that I, after listing where I'm going, order them by number, in order to (a) save time, (b) save gas. (c) arrive home with perishables in good shape. Sometimes the list looks like this:
Pet food---PetSmart 5
P.O. 1
Bank 3
WalMart---Gas,groceries 4
Church---drop off 2
But the "Mother of all lists" that I produce is the packing list whenever I have a trip. Neither a post nor a blog could contain that.
O.K. I'm ready now.
