Friday

I am busy at work with several evaluations on my current caseload and several high-profile cases coming down the pike. I've not done any Murder 1's or any with media attention so that should be exciting. And terrifying. The difference between those and the "regular" ones is just more scrutiny by co-workers before the report leaves our office and a higher expectation that I could end up in court.
And I guess a higher likelihood that some courtroom artist will sketch me in the witness box.

So you've decided to jump the gun and go on and begin sitting for court room sketches now?

It's an amazing likeness.

I recommend making sure everything is properly tucked (or untucked) before entering the courtroom. Wouldn't want to be sketched with your skirt hiked into your pantyhose! (We had an officer walk into court like that, just as if she were on a sitcom).

courtroom sketches would be ten times better if they had those charicature artists do the drawings. you know, like at six flags only without the airbrushed graffiti saying "Precious" and "Diva." imagine Perry Mason with "Bootylicious" under his picture.

Hahahaha. Oh wow. Are you seriously getting media attention? And murder cases...how fun!!

Maybe someday we can collaborate on a book about murderers we have known? Except most of mine were juveniles so I couldn't disclose the juicy stuff or the names or anything that might identify them--and aren't you doing juveniles, too? Oh well, forget that idea.

Kids, please leave the room as your mother and Aunt Jaz colaborate on a book about juvenile killers.

Yech.

Plug, are you planning on vacationing with Celia?

I like for my courtroom artists to use acrylics and sable brushes. I also want them to use an easel, a big wooden pallet that they hold in one hand, and to wear a floppy artists hat. A long curly mustache would be a bonus. If I'm ever in court those are my demands.
