- Having enjoyed fifteen months in Nova Scotia, I returned to the midwest in 2008 to helm a listing ship, plug its leaks, and set a new course. So far, I've reduced the leaks by about 2/3, the rats have mostly abandoned ship, and I'm turning the rudder slowly. A lot of the crew has changed, but there's no immediate threat of mutiny.

In addition to a not very profitable garage sale on Saturday and the flu on Sunday, I met a woman (about 147 or so years of age) at a wedding shower on Saturday. When she heard my last name she stated, "I know your daughter. Does she still work out east?" Nice to know I look old enough to be Goo's mother. On the other hand, chill says what the lady really meant is that Goo looks young enough to be my daughter!
Jaz, do you think Chill missed a calling to the diplomatic corps? Who knows where you might be living---possibly somewhere where the literacy % is above 50.
Ouch! I'm dying to know who knows me, but hasn't met Lit. Hmmm...someone involved with the music dept and old enough to be senile...I'll have to think on that.
