vacation days

Let's see. We've been here for three full days. We have just been hanging out with our oldest son Polio and other friends, eating at a few of our favorite restaurants, enjoying the down time. The DH and Sandbox are going to rehearse with the choir tonight while I kick back with my homies. (homies in this case means a couple of other almost-middle-aged-ladies holding G&T's).

Today I'm going over to my old workplace to see what's still standing. I'm going to try and talk shop enough to write this trip off as a business expense. That oughta work right?

Not much to report but I'm trying to get back in the blogging groove. Great to hear from you guys! In comments, tell me your favorite winter sport (to play or to watch). Mine are hockey and curling - NOT!

My all-time favorite winter sport? Scrabble. And it is fun to watch, but much more fun to play--and even better to mentor kids as they play, teaching strategy. Vocabulary and spelling are great, but strategy wins the game.

Oh--as for traditional sports, I like to watch figure skating. Does that count as a winter sport. I find it is best to watch on TV while I am warm and comfy on the couch.

Hey--it would be a lot more fun to click on the Polio and Sandbox links if your young men would post something more recent than December. And yeah, I know that since I am too lazy to even establish my own blog, I really shouldn't be complaining.

I had given up looking on your blog since it had been such a long time since you posted anything. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, does it?

Favorite winter sport: What is "winter"?

Hope you enjoy your trip and everything goes very well on the way home.

P. S. Please send ways to contact you to everybody via e-mail. The distress calls are not answered by me cause I don't know either.
